چکیده

The second edition of The Compleat Pediatrician was reviewed favorably irn the YALE JOURNAL OF BIOLOGY AND MEDICINE in October, 1938. A third edition of this unique pediatric manual is now at hand. To keep "symptoms and signs as clues" and therapeutic procedures in pediatric practice abreast of the facts and experience acquired during the past three years, it has been necessary to make changes in 10,000 lines of the second edition. For example, reference to section 126 on Bacteremia shows an almost complete rewriting, necessitated by the developments in chemotherapy. Many similar examples of change might be cited to demonstrate the author's success in bringing his book up to date. GROVER F. POWERS.
